Initial ELPAC Reports

The following Initial ELPAC reports are available to ELPAC LEA coordinators. Select a link for details on a specific report.

Initial ELPAC LEA-Level Student Demographic Snapshot Report

The Initial ELPAC LEA-Level Student Demographic Snapshot Report generates a unique record for each student who tested in the user’s LEA and indicates when a student’s CALPADS English language acquisition status (ELAS) as an English learner was locked. This report is available with the onset of the first testing event.

Initial ELPAC Parent/Guardian Letter Data File

The Initial ELPAC Parent/Guardian Letter Data File includes the Initial ELPAC score values, such as overall score, performance level, and ELAS as saved in TOMS. The data included in this file must be mail-merged with the parent/guardian letter that is hosted on the CDE site.

Initial ELPAC School-Level Student Demographic Snapshot Report

This report generates a unique record for each student who tests at the user’s school and indicates when a student’s CALPADS ELAS as an English learner was locked. Schools can use this data to verify that the student’s demographic information matches the demographic information reported in the Initial ELPAC Student Score Data Report.  This report is available with the onset of the first testing event.

Initial ELPAC Score Comparison Report

The Initial ELPAC Score Comparison Report compares the student score data entered in the Local Scoring Tool with the student score data from scores scanned by ETS for organizations participating in the Rotating Score Validation Process (RSVP) for students in the selected LEA. This report will be available with the October 2020 release of TOMS.

Initial ELPAC Student Eligibility Report

This report lists all students who are eligible but have not yet taken the Initial ELPAC. Students whose eligibility information appears in this report must have an ELAS of To Be Determined (TBD) in CALPADS.

Initial ELPAC Student Score Data Report

The Initial ELPAC Student Score Data Report allows a user to export score data for students who tested in—and are currently enrolled in—the LEA. LEA coordinators can use this report to upload student results for the Initial ELPAC to their student information system.

The Initial ELPAC Student Score Data Extract Report may be run using alternate criteria:

  • To run the report for students who are currently enrolled in the LEA regardless of where the student tested, select “By Enrolled LEA” from the Report Type drop-down list.
  • To run the report for students who were tested in the selected LEA, regardless of their current enrollment, select “By Tested LEA” from the Report Type drop-down list.
