What’s New in 2023–24

General Configuration

  • LEAs must add both cdn.cambiumtds.com and cdn2.cambiumtds.com to the list of allowlisted websites. This URL is required for the proctor and TDS applications.
  • Version 16 of the secure browser will include a special script for JAWS® users to circumvent an issue that causes JAWS to slow down after prolonged usage. Additional instructions appear in the CAASPP and ELPAC Accessibility Guide.
  • The addition of the speaking domain within the CSA requires that a student’s devices be configured with a microphone that is either built-in to the device or external, such as on a headset.
  • The macOS operating system no longer requires the Secure Profile because the current Secure Browser, when used in conjunction with supported versions of macOS, makes this unnecessary.

Secure Browser

Versions

The updated secure browser versions for the 2023–24 CAASPP and ELPAC administrations are presented in table 1. These are the only secure browser versions supported for testing.

There are no new internet browser requirements for the 2022–23 CAASPP and ELPAC test administrations.
