What’s New for ELPAC in 2025–26?

Test Delivery System

  • The secure browser was refreshed with new screens.
  • The field where a student enters a session ID is now on the third screen during the student logon flow.

Accessibility Resources

  • The embedded strikethrough universal tool, which is available for all students, has had its format updated to be more dense—it now contains diagonal lines, for prominence.
  • The following embedded designated supports, when assigned individually, can be toggled while the student is testing:
    • TTS volume, rate, and pitch
    • TTS tracking
    • Color contrast
    • Mouse pointer
  • The embedded text-to-speech accommodation is no longer available in the Listening domain.
  • The non-embedded sensory items accommodation is available to be assigned in TOMS.

Initial ELPAC Forms

  • The Initial ELPAC has been refreshed for 2025–26 testing.
  • Because there is only one Initial ELPAC form, the RSVP and Second Scoring for the Initial ELPAC web page on the CAASPP & ELPAC Website contains the following changes:
    • The restored title is RSVP for the Initial ELPAC. This page still includes all RSVP-related content, including the list of LEAs assigned to participate in the RSVP.
    • Second scoring content has been deleted.

Test Administration Functionality

THSS

  • The THSS has been updated. (Refer to the Initial ELPAC: THSS subsection of this manual for processes associated with using the THSS.)
